My To-Do List

Then people go off to their work where they labor until evening.

I spent some time in Psalm 104 today with this theme of New Creation, and this verse jumped out to remind me again, that our work is important and necessary. I have been struggling with discouragement and struggling to feel purposeful. Once again, God reminded me that He has a purpose for all that I do, and my labor is not in vain.

You give us work to do each day
I have work to do.
The tasks that seem to loom ahead
are assignments given by you.
Help me to be content to serve,
to love those I’ve been given.
To embrace the work you’ve dealt to me,
my to-do list sent from Heaven.
