Midweek Prayer

Serving you is my desire, not obligation or chore.
But in the midst of service, duty creeps in, and I become tired and sluggish and begin to resent the work,
The hardness of it all.
I rush to escape in a panic,

    And then I realize it is locked for my good! You want what is best for me . . . that “duty” once done will turn into a softened heart of desire to serve you more when I experience You helping me do whatever it is You are asking me to do. Thank you Lord for all of those locked doors and keeping me going on Your path for my life.
