To celebrate month one of blogging, I ordered fancy blog cards to hand out to people when the spirit of shameless-self-promoting struck. Or when I felt a connection to someone who might enjoy digging around in my compost corner of the web.
I found a bag of Ghirardelli chocolate caramel squares on my bed with a heart and a congratulations on one month of blogging note at the end of that day. I married an amazing one.
Month two finds me continuing to listen to internal writing prompts, to learn to trust my inner voice, and to connect with readers who share stories and feelings and memories, mostly offline or through private messaging, which I love. It encourages and confirms my work on this endeavor.
This blog was a long time in my heart before coming alive in cyberspace. Many trusted friends affirmed and challenged me to write. There was much I needed to pass through before calling out my words for more than a few trusted hearts to read. There is still much to pass through.
As month three begins, I look forward to continued shaping of what will become of and what will be learned by Composting the Heart.
