Kindness

I was gently reminded of my need for this by a sweet friend, yesterday. Little did I know how much this reminder would mean by the end of the day, or the early morning hours of today. But who is keeping track, anyway?

It brought me to a journal entry written in 2009.

Kindness

God loves you, Julie.

In the midst of the fear and the heap of contempt, when you’re barely surviving

there’s kindness.

In the midst of the chaos and hurry of life, when you’re barely surviving

there’s kindness.

in the midst of the feelings of doubt and of shame, when you’re barely surviving

there’s kindness.

Thank you, Jesus, for your kindness.

Thanks for heart-composting with me! I appreciate your words.
