It’s May!

Celebrate the beginning of May by trying some yoga today!

Yoga Today offers a free class every week and has TONS of classes available for purchase. Several of them are loaded onto my Nook to do whenever and wherever the urge (need!) strikes.

I have done class in my room at the Journey after a particularly intense group session. I have done class in a hotel room in Chicago after an overnight bus ride and day spent walking the city with high school arts students. I can practice yoga in the privacy of my home with some great instructors, thanks to Yoga Today.

I love yoga, because it strengthens and stretches tight muscles and works out much of the tension I carry around. It helps me breathe and stay focused and grounded when I am doing it the “right” way. I tend to want to rush through things (imagine that!).

When I am on my yoga mat, I try to stay there physically AND mentally and not become distracted by the dust bunnies that I see under the dresser or the clutter piled high on the rocking chair. It’s good practice for me! Maybe it could be for you, as well, which is why I wanted to share.
