December was my final month on Facebook, and for weeks a “Black and White Challenge” floated around with specific rules for posting and tagging.
I am not one to appreciate or engage in social media posting and tagging games, but alas, I was finally tagged by a friend. Spending way too much mental energy deciding what to do (and hence confirming a decision I had already subconsciously made), I decided to play along with the picture part, but not the tagging.
Each day I took a random, real photo. No explanation, no people, according to the rules. The pictures explain themselves.
Here are the seven black and white photos taken from a life that is not so black and white.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
If you are on Facebook, did you take the challenge? How do you feel about posting and tagging games? Which of my pictures resonates the most with you? Do share! I am curious.
I love picture 6. It’s homey and welcoming, like being with you. I do not do any fb games, repost requests, etc. The b&w picture game, however, was one I actually enjoyed seeing on my wall from other people’s posts.
I enjoyed seeing the pictures too which is probably why I struggled to decide if I wanted to participate. In the end it was my own game. Thanks for playing and sharing. Picture 6 is the side porch door that welcomes many as long as they are willing to brave the dog. Come visit anytime!
I was tagged, and didn’t participate. I recognize that nobody can force me to accept this challenge, and I didn’t have the time (or memory anyway) to do it and stick with it. Being a “D” personality causes me to dislike being tagged or pressured to perform something I didn’t choose. If I’d wanted to do it, I would have done so without tagging anyone else.
I DO like your pictures!
I hear you! Your choice makes so much sense to me. Thank you for your feedback on the pictures. Hugs.
Day 7 : name spelled CORRECTLY with a heart on your coffee cup. Not just slap dashed. Your being present with directing/ musical giftings all combined/ collide in this. ❤️Love you.
Facebook is trying to get back to fun and friends and family. Removing the newsfeed etc…
I think games can be fun and love the option to participate or just scroll by. Tagging photos is where I stop.
Thanks for noticing/ reminding me. I heard about the Facebook changes and am curious. Keep me posted. Mostly I love seeing you here. Thanks for stopping by. I love you.
Day 2 … you make delightful, fun spaces.
I enjoy seeing the challenges that go on, but don’t personally want to participate in tagging others.
I love when you show up here! Thank you for commenting and for sharing space, and life, with me. I love you.
